Note: The following incs are
worked in K sts only by tipping left needle forward and knitting into the
purl bump on the stitch below the one on the needle, then knitting into the st
on the needle. Incs are made in the next 2 rows. The incs at the beg and end of
the row were worked by knitting into front and back of the stitch because it is
awkward to K into P bumps of sts on the edge of the work.
row 1 (rs): K in front and back
of 1st st, *P2, inc in next 2 K sts by knitting into purl bumps, * to first
marker, sl marker, K1, inc in back of next st in purl bump, K1, P2* to 3 sts

row 2: P2, * inc by working into
purl bumps of next 2 K sts, P4* to last 4 sts, inc in next 2 K sts, P2.
Change to larger needle and cont in K4-P4 ribbing to 4.5 (5, 5.5, 6)".
Bind off loosely in pattern, using tip of size 9 needle.
Thus the measurement from the original Cast On edge will be 14.5 (16, 17.5,
19)".
Sew edges: Seam the underarm edges as shown in
photo to form circle.
Ties: Using larger needle, cast on 50 sts. K 1 row.
Bind off. Attach to end of seam and underarms.
