2 - 50 gr balls
Crystal Palace Mochi Plus #558 "neptune"
Crystal Palace Bamboo US Size 9 needles
Crystal Palace Bamboo US Size 7 needles
Stitch marker
Ribbon for neck tie
Gauge: 16 sts = 4" in garter st
Abbreviations
BO - bind off; pm - place marker; rep - repeat; sm - slip marker;
tog - together; yo - yarn over
Poncho:
Using size 9 needles, cast on 27 sts. Knit one row. [row
11 edited 7-21-11]
Row 1: K1, K2 tog, yo, K19, pm,
yo, P2 tog, K1, yo, K2 - 28 sts.
Row 2: K4, yo, P2 tog, sm, K22.
Row 3: K22, sm, yo, p2 tog, K2, yo, K2 -29 sts
Row 4: K5, yo, P2 tog, sm, K 22.
Row 5: K1, K2 tog, yo, K19, sm, yo, P2 tog, K3, yo, K2 - 30 sts.
Row 6: K6, yo, P2 tog, sm, K22.
Row 7: K22, sm, yo, P2 tog, K2 tog, yo twice, K2, yo, K2 - 32 sts
Row 8: K5, K into first yo, P into second yo, K1, yo, P2 tog, sm, K22.
Row 9: K1, K2 tog, yo, K19, sm, yo, P2 tog, K8 - 32 sts.
Row 10: Bind Off 5 sts, K2, yo, P2 tog, sm, K22.
Row 11: K22, sm, yo, P2 tog, K1, yo, K2.
Row 12: K4, yo, P2 tog, sm, K13, turn.
Row 13: K13, sm, yo, P2 tog, K2, yo, K2.
Row 14: K5, yo, P2 tog, sm, K11, turn.
Row 15: K11, sm, yo, P2 tog, K3, yo, K2.
Row 16: K6, yo, P2 tog, sm, K9, turn.
Row 17: K9, sm, yo, P2 tog, K2 tog, yo twice, K2, yo, K2.
Row 18: K5, K into first yo,
P into second yo, K1, yo, P2 tog, sm, K7, turn.
Row 19: K7, sm, yo, P2 tog, K8.
Row 20: BO 5 sts, K2, yo, P2 tog, sm, K2, (yo, K2 tog) 7 times, K6 - 27
sts.
Rep rows 1-20 seven times more. BO. Sew cast-on edge to bound-off edge.
Thread ribbon thru eyelets at neckline, and
draw up when shawl is on the doll.
Slouchy Beret:
Cast on 54 sts using size 7 needles. Work 5 rows garter st.
Change to size 9 needle.
Next row: Knit, increasing 16 sts evenly spaced - 70 sts.
Work in garter st. until piece measures 2.5 " from cast-on edge. Begin
decreasing:
Row 1: K5, K2 tog to end of
row.
Row 2: and all wrong-side
rows: knit
Row 3: K4, K2 tog to end of row.
Row 5: K3, K2 tog to end of
row.
Row 7: K2, K2 tog to end of
row.
Row 9: K1, K tog to end of
row
Row 1:1 K2 tog to end of row
Cut yarn, leaving 10" tail.
Thread onto needle and draw thru open sts remaining. Pull up firmly and fasten
off. Sew seam.
