Basic Design by Terry Ross - Series of Mini-Bags here knit and felted by Marge OkuleyGreat for a small gift bag any time of the year or a Christmas tree ornament; this project can be knit in about 2 hours or less.
These bags were all knit using the basic instructions for CPY's Mini-Bag in Iceland. They show just a few of the variations possible.
These make great little quick bags for holiday gifts - people will treasure them long after the season is over!

Below are the specifics for each of the bags shown above.
All bags were felted with low water setting, hot water for approx. 15 min. with bath towel added.
The Mini-Bag at left knit with Iceland 'purple' color #2801 and Popcorn 'fruit salad' color #431
Using size 11 needles
Cast on 12 sts, Knit 12 rows in garter st
PU sts on each side until you have a total of 36 sts & place marker. Knit 25 rounds and Bind Off.Make and attach I-cord handles
finished size of bag body: 5" wide x 5.5" tall

Using size 11 needles
Cast on 12 sts, Knit 12 rows in garter st
PU sts on each side until you have a total of 36 sts & place marker. Knit 25 rounds and bind off.finished size of bag body: 6.5" wide x 6" tall

Using size 10.5 needles
Cast on 34 sts, Knit 34 rows in garter st
PU sts on each side until you have a total of 100 sts & place marker. Knit 64 rounds and Bind Off.Make and attach I-cord handles - tie in a knot before fastening on.
finished size of bag body: 7.5" wide x 5.5" tall
The Mini-Bag at left knit with Iceland color #9573 ultramarine
Using size 11 needles
Cast on 18 sts, Knit 18 rows in garter st
PU sts on each side until you have a total of 52 sts & place marker. Knit 36 rounds and Bind Off.Make and attach I-cord handles
Trim with buttons of choice.
finished size of bag body: 6.5" wide x 7" tall
