to complement Waikiki color. Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles
size 5
single point. Stitch holders. Crystal Palace Bamboo Crochet hook F, 8
buttons 3/4" or approx. 12 buttons 1/2".
GAUGE: with Waikiki 5.5 sts = 1" in Stockinette stitch (St st). Take
time to check gauge.

BACK: With Waikiki cast on 100(110) sts. Work in St st for 9.5" from cast on edge.
Bind off 4 sts at beg of next two rows. Dec 1 st each end every other row, 7
times. 78(88) sts. Work until 9.25" above armhole bind offs. Bind off 6(7) sts
at beg of next 4 rows. Bind off 5(6) sts at beg of next row. K13(14), BO 18(20),
K rem 18(20)sts. Working one side at a time BO 5(6) sts at armhole edge. BO 8
sts at neck edge. Bind off 5(6) sts at armhole edge. Join yarn to rem side, BO
5(6) sts at armhole edge , BO 8 sts at neck edge.
LEFT FRONT: Cast on 50(55) sts. Work for 9.5" from either eyelet rows
or cast on edge. Bind off 4 sts on armhole edge, Dec 1 st every other row at
armhole edge 7 times. 39(44) sts. Work until 3" above armhole.
Shape neck front: At neck edge work binds offs thus: 5 sts once, 3 sts
once, 2 sts twice. Dec 1 st at neck edge on this and every other row 5(6) times.
22(26) sts. Work straight until front measures same as back to shoulder. Shape
shoulder: Bind off 6(7) sts at armhole edge 2 times. Bind off 5(6) sts at
armhole edge 2 times.
RIGHT FRONT: Work as for left front, reversing shaping.
FINISHING: Join shoulder seams. Sew side seams. Press gently with
steam through towel.
Crochet Edging and Buttonholes: With Breeze and crochet hook F, work
edging along outer edge of garment and armhole edges as follows: Round 1: Work
single crochet around edge. Round 2: *Single crochet, ch 3, slip st into single
crochet, slip st 1 into next st. Repeat from *. Note: For small buttons every
other chain 3 is used as a buttonhole. If using larger buttons mark their
placement. At those points instead of ch 3, ch 6 or appropriate length to fit
snuggly over button.
