Materials: 2 50 gr. balls Deco Ribbon col.9234 (orange crush) and 1 ball Light Pipe col. 3324 (candy)

3 sc and 2.6 rows = 3", but gauge is not essential.Pattern Stitch
Insert your hook into the back loop only of sc. This forms a ridge, which gives a ribbed effect.Instructions
Foundation: Chain 11.
Row 1: Sc into 2nd chain from hook and each chain across.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc into back loop only of the 2nd sc from hook and each sc across (10 sc).
Repeat Row 2 until 94 ( 88, 104) rows have been worked.
Tie off.Using a large book or ruler, make fringe by holding both yarns together and wrapping. Vary the length of the fringe by wrapping fewer and more times alternately. The fringe pieces should roughly measure 17" for the shorter fringe to 24" long for the longer fringe. Fold pieces in half and attach with your hook to the ends of the belt.
Extra yarn can be used to make fringes of varying lengths attached randomly along the bottom edge of the belt.
Special note about using Light Pipe: the cut ends of Light Pipe need to be knotted (and fray checked, if you have it) to keep the yarn from unraveling.
This belt can be worn tied around the hips or waist. Alternatively, the belt could be crisscrossed and a pin used to fasten the belt. Another alternative would be working a small buttonhole on row 3 and attaching a decorative button to the end of the belt.
