Back: With col A cast on 86 (90,94,98,102) sts and knit one row. Begin Pattern Stitch and work rows 1-16 three times. Then work rows 1-12 for the rest of the garment. When the back is 14(14,15, 15, 15)” long shape armhole. Bind off 6 sts at the beginning of the next two rows then decrease 1 sts each side every other row 2(2, 4, 4, 4) times. When armhole is 8(8, 8.5, 8.5, 9)” long, work across 20(20,20,22,24) sts, bind off center 30(34, 34, 34, 34)sts and work across remaining sts. Put the shoulder sts on a holder, they will be bound off in the three needle bind off with the fronts.

Left Front: With col A cast on 42(46,50,50,54) sts and knit one row. Begin Pattern Stitch and follow instructions for the back until armhole is 5(5, 5. 5, 5.5, 6)” long then shape neck. When the front is the same length as the back put the remaining sts on a holder.

Right Front: Work the same as for the left front except reverse the shaping.

Sleeves: With col A cast on 42(42, 46, 46, 46) sts and knit one row. Begin Pattern Stitch the same way you did for the back and at the same time begin sleeve shaping making sure to incorporate the new sts into the pattern. Starting with row 13 of the pattern, increase 1 st each side every 6th row 7 times then every 8th row 9 times. When the sleeve is 18(18, 18.5, 18.5, 18.5)” begin cap shaping. Bind off 6 sts each side once, decrease 1 sts each side 2 times, for sizes 40 & 42 bind off 4 sts each side 2 times and 5 sts 3 times bind of remaining sts; for sizes 44, 46, & 48 bind off 5 sts each side 5 times, bind off remaining sts.

Finishing: Transfer the open sts from the back and the fronts onto separate needles and with rights sides facing knit one sts from each needle and bind off in the normal manner. Sew up seams and set in sleeves. Front bands with right side facing pick up about 95 sts, knit one row then bind off. Neck Band pick up about 88 sts and work in garter sts for 1.5” then bind off. Sew zipper to the front band.
