Free Knit Scarf Pattern
Aria
+ Kid Merino Diagonal Scarf
MATERIALS:
1 -25 gr. ball Crystal Palace Yarns Kid Merino #4108 "vine green"
Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles: 9" size 9.
Marker for edge of scarf - stitch marker or just a safety pin.
Size: 3" x 60"
Scarf is knit with Kid Merino doubled held along with Aria.
Tip: Do not try to knit from both ends of Kid Merino ball, you will have
tangles.
Re-wind half the ball into a second ball and work from both balls.
Instructions
Holding 1 end of Aria and 2 ends of Kid Merino,
Cast on 15 sts holding the 3 strands together. Entire scarf is knit with 3
strands.
Scarf is worked entirely in garter stitch, knit all rows.
Row 1: K
Row 2 and all even rows: K1, inc 1 by knitting twice into 2nd st, K 13.
Row 3 and all odd rows: K1, K2tog, K 13.
To make it easy to know if you are on an odd or even row, put a marker at the edge of work where you are beginning an even row and increasing in the 2nd stitch. Then you will know if there is no marker you will decrease on that row.
Continue to work in this manner until almost out of yarn.
Cast off loosely on the final row.
