Mini Mochi Eyelet Ease Scarf

A soft, lacy wide scarf that works up quickly in an easy lace pattern, with a border of sturdy basketweave.
Finished size after blocking is approximately 8" x 62" (25 cm x 178 cm)

Materials:
2.5 - 50 gr. balls Mini Mochi #321 'strawberry ice' by Crystal Palace Yarns
(A slightly shorter scarf could be knit with 2 balls or a longer scarf with a full 3 balls)
1 pair Crystal Palace Bamboo US size Size 5 US (4 mm)
2 Stitch Markers

Border:
Cast on 51 sts.
Row 1 (RS): K
Row 2: K4, p3, *K5, P3; rep from * to last 4 sts K4
Row 3: P4, k3, *p5, k3; rep from * to last 4 sts, P4
Row 4: K4, p3, *K5, P3; rep from * to last 4 sts K4
Row 5: K
Row 6: P3, *K5, P3; rep from * to end
Row 7: K3, *P5, K3, rep from * to end
Row 8: P3, *K5, P3; rep from * to end

Body:
Row 1: K9, place marker, work row 1 of chart three times, place marker, K9.
Row 2: K4, P4, K1, P to last marker, K1, P4, K4
Row 3: P4, K5, work row 3 of chart three times, K5, P4
Row 4: K4, P4, K1, P to last marker, K1, P4, K4
Row 5: K9, work row 5 of chart three times, K9
Row 6: P4, k5, P to last marker, K5, P4
Row 7: K4, P4, k1, work row 7 of chart three times, K1, P4, K4
Row 8: P4, k5, P to last marker, K5, P4

Repeat these 8 rows for approximately 60" (152 cm) or desired length, ending with Row 8.
