Baby Blanket in Summer Net
Lots of soft texture and cozy feel to this blanket.

Materials:
6 or 7 - 50 gr. balls of Summer Net
(3 colors:  A:3207-celery, B:3169-strawberry, C:3200-misty lilac )

1 circular 26" size 11 Crystal Palace Bamboo needle

The blanket is knit in St st and Rev St st with garter st borders. Finished blanket will be approx. 30" x 30".

[Note: this photo shows a blanket I made for my soon-to-be born grand niece or nephew, I used 3 balls of B:3169-strawberry and 2 balls each of the other two colors. I cast on 100 sts and my blanket is 32" x 32"]

To knit blanket :
Loosely cast on 90 sts.
Knit 5 rows in garter st (knit all rows)
For the body of the blanket knit the outer 8 sts in garter st, the center portion is knit in wide bands of St st and Rev St st.
Change the stitch in the middle of one color band to add variety as you can see in the photo.
End blanket with 5 rows of garter st.
Cast off loosely.

Note: Since I expect this baby blanket to be washed often, I broke a knitting "rule" and knotted the yarns when I changed colors. I recommend washing by hand, spinning out excess water with a washing machine spin cycle and laying flat to dry.
