SCARF A
Bias Knit Pattern is used throughout the A: Bias
Scarf
Odd Rows: inc 1 st in first st, dec one st at end of row.
Even Rows: Knit
Repeat these two rows throughout scarf.
[Tip: Tie a marker of a contrasting yarn on the side
of scarf where you inc/dec. Move it along as you knit. It will help you to
know when to work the inc/dec rows.]
Knitting Instructions:
With size 15 needles using Trio, cast on 12 sts.
*
Knit 4 rows with Trio in Bias Knit Pattern.
Knit 4 rows with Splash in Bias Knit Pattern.
*
Repeat the sequence of rows between the *s.
Continue until you are almost out of Trio. End with 4 rows of
Trio.
Cast off loosely.
You will have used only 1/2 a ball of Splash and can
knit the 2nd scarf with one more ball of Trio and the rest of the Splash.
SCARF B
I used the same color of Trio for both scarves, but it
would be more fun to use a different color of Trio with the 2nd half of
your Splash.
Scarf B is knit lengthwise on size 17 CPY Bamboo Needles,
26". This scarf is knit all in garter st (knit all rows).
Cast on 80 sts of Trio.
Knit 1 row of Trio.
Knit 3 rows with Splash.
(push knitting to opposite end of circulars so that you can reach Trio)
Knit 2 rows with Trio.
Knit 3 rows of Splash.
(push knitting to opposite end of circular needles)
Knit 2 rows of Trio.
Continue in this manner until you have enough Trio left to
knit one last row and then to cast off LOOSELY.
Use remaining yarn to make fringes if desired.
