Trio Wrapped Stitch Scarf
This airy, decorative scarf has an unusual look
due to the texture of Trio tape yarn. The feel is soft.
Finished Scarf is approx. 55 inches long x 5 inches wide.
Materials:
2-50 gr. ball of TRIO (here color 2855, circus/blue)
CPY 9" Bamboo Needles, 1 needle each Size 15 & Size 11The scarf is knit alternating the 11 and 15 needle.
Stitches Used:
Garter St (knit all rows)
Single Wrap St (also sometimes called simply YO stitch)
[Note: after knitting a row after each wrap st row, give a little tug to the rows of sts to pull them down.]To knit scarf:
With size 11 needle, cast on 12 sts.
Rows 1-3 Knit 4 rows in garter st alternating the needles.
Row 4: Work Wrap Row (wrapping around size 11 needle)
(K1, wrap 1x around needle) repeat to end of row, ending K1.
Rows 5-7: Knit
Row 8: Work Wrap Row wrapping around size 11 needle.
Continue alternating wrap rows and garter st rows.Continue until almost out of yarn. Finish with 3 rows of garter st and cast off loosely.
Note: If you don't happen to have an 11 and a 15 needle handy, feel free to knit this scarf all on size 15s for a looser wrap st or all on 11s for a firmer feel.
