here.
These Mini-Mitts are very easy to make! Cast on and work in
the round for a few rounds. Work in rows to make the thumb “slash", and then
finish the mitts by working in the round. With the self-striping Chunky Mochi,
no complicated colorwork is needed.
Materials:
1 ball, 50g Crystal Palace Chunky
Mochi
(80% Merino wool and 20% nylon) (49 yds/50 gr.)
Shown in Color #801, Intense Rainbow.
#8 double pointed Crystal Palace Bamboo needles
Gauge: 12 sts = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.
Directions:
Divide ball of yarn in half.
Cast on 28 st with #8 double pointed needles. Join and work 4 rounds in K2, P2
rib.
Change to working in rows of K2, P2 rib to make “thumb slash". Work 6 rows of
K2, P2 rib.
Change back to working in rounds,
and work in K2, P2 rib until you have just enough yarn to bind off.
Bind off.
Repeat to make your “fraternal twin" mini-mitt.
