Inspiration: I am always inspired by new yarns. The wonderful color tones of the topical ginger colorway of Mochi Plus makes it versatile for both men and women - and this arrowhead pattern allows knitting fun while remaining masculine enough for my guy!

Materials:
2 - 50 gm balls Mochi Plus in #563 tropical ginger
Crystal Palace Bamboo dpn needles in size US 7 (4.5mm) or size required for gauge.
Large eyed tapestry needle or crochet hook

Gauge: 5 sts/inch (20 sts/10 cm) over stockinette.

Size: woman’s large/man's small-medium

Abbreviations:
CO- cast on; dpn- double pointed needles; K- Knit; K2tog - knit 2 sts together; P- Purl; PSSO - pass slip st over; PM – place marker; rep - repeat; rnd(s) - round(s); tog - together; st(s)- stitch(es); St st - stockinette stitch; YO - yarn over; Sl-1 - slip st; Kf - knit into front of st; Kb - knit into back of st; Inc - increase; Dec - decrease.

Instructions:
CO 52 sts. Join, being careful not to twist. PM (Place marker).
[Optional frill:
1. P1rnd.
2. *(Inc by KfKb into same st) around.
3. K1rnd.
4. *(Dec by K2tog) around.]

Work in K2P2 ribbing for 1 inch. K1rnd, Dec 2 st in rnd.

Arrowhead Pattern:
1. *(K3, YO, K2 [Sl-2Kwise, K1, PSSO], K2, YO), around.
2. K all sts
3. *(K4, YO, K1 [Sl-2Kwise, K1, PSSO], K1, YO, K1), around.
4. K all sts
5. *(K5, YO, [Sl-2Kwise, K1, PSSO], YO, K2), around
6 & &. K all sts.
Rep these 7 rnds 4 times, end Rnd 6.

Start Thumb:
Thumb 1: K 21, PM, M1, K8, M1, PM, K21.
Thumb 2: K all st.
Thumb 3: K 21, M1, K to marker, M1, K21
Thumb 4: K all st.

Rep the Thumb 3 & 4 rnds 4 times. (18 st between marker)

Designer’s Note:
Be sure to work the M1 sts between the markers – the 1st M1 is after the 1st marker; the 2nd M1 is before the 2nd marker.

K to first marker, BO all sts in P st to 2nd marker, K rem. sts.
Next round K to BO and CO 6 sts, Sl1, Pass last CO st over Sl1.
Next round K to 1 st before CO st: Sl-1, K1, PSSO, K to last CO st, Sl-1, K1, PSSO
Rep this round twice, or as needed to make the Cast On area look neat and fit (slip hand in to test)

K plain for 3.5 in above last pattern rnd.

Then work in K2P2 rib for 1.25 - 1.5 in BO in K2P2 rib.

Finishing: cut yarn, leaving an ~8 in end. Work in all ends.
Try a crochet hook for this - no need to thread needle & is fast.
