Mochi Plus does the color changing for you as you crochet
these Granny Square type motifs.

Materials:
Crystal Palace Mochi Plus 11 - 50 gram balls
Model shown in Color 570 "fireworks"
Crochet Hook size H

Dimensions: 45" along outside edge, 18" at front edges. Motif 5" square before blocking

Flower Garden Motif: Make 39

Ch 6, join with sl st to form a ring. Ch 3 (counts as a dc), 15 dc in ring, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3 (16 dc).

Ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 7, skip 3 dc, sc in next dc) three times ch 7, join with sl st to beg sc.

Ch 1, in next ch-7 space make 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 3 trc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc (petal made). Ch 1, make petals in next 3 ch-7 loops in same manner. Join with sl st in beg ch 1.

Ch 6, skip 2 sc and 1 hdc, sc in next hdc, ch 3, skip next 2 dc and trc, sc in center trc, ch 3, skip trc and 2 dc, sc in next hdc, ch 3, dc in ch-1 space between petals.
Continue in this manner around, ending join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 6.

Ch 3, 3 dc in next ch-3 space, dc in next sc, 3 dc in next ch-3 space, (dc, ch 2 , dc) in sc at center of petal. Continue in this manner around. Join with sl st to top of beg ch 3.
Fasten off.

Join motifs as shown in diagram by placing right sides together and slip stitching thru back loops only of both motifs.

Finishing: Join yarn with sl to corner space at top of left edge (see drawing).
Ch 3, dc in same space. Dc in each dc around, working in back loops only, making (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corners. At center neck, dc to corner, skip corner spaces and dc in next dc (decrease made). End 2 dc in last corner, join with hdc to top of beg ch 3.

Ch 3, dc in each dc around 4 sides only, working (2 dc ch 2, 2 dc) in corner spaces.

Ch 1, do not turn, Work 1 row reverse sc around, working 2 reverse sc in corner spaces.
