Our Crystal Palace Yarns Collection works intensely with color and matches and complements colors across our range of yarns. This means that many combinations of yarns are possible and we've started this corner of our web site to show experiments rather than complete projects. We hope this will give you some ideas of ways to expand and substitute our yarns in your projects.
Deco-Stardust (added for Spring '05) is a highly metallic ribbon with lots of possibilities. It is hard to show the metallic fiber reflection on the web with photos and scans, but be assured that this Deco-Stardust GLOWS!
1. The first swatch is made with
Deco-Stardust aqua and
PARTY ribbon #409 Spring Picnic color.
It's knit on size 15 needles are uses a double-wrap drop st to show off the
ribbon. The effect is light and dressy. This would make a great poncho or scarf.
2. The second swatch is an experiment for a scarf to be knit lengthwise. It is knit on size 15s and alternates 4 rows each of Splash # tidepool and Deco-Stardust aqua. It has a nice weight and I will definitely make a scarf with this combination.
